What does the Campus Climate Commission do?
Campus climate is defined as “the current attitudes, behaviors and standards of faculty, staff, administrators and students concerning the level of respect for individual needs, abilities and potential.” The Campus Climate Commission seeks to create a safe and inclusive environment on the UCI campus. The commission runs campaigns and hosts discussion spaces in order to increase dialogue about acceptance and diversity. Additionally, the commission collaborates with different organizations on campus in order to make changes towards a more positive environment and responds to incidents regarding student diversity.
What is our vision?
We aim to create an inclusive, understanding and educated community at UC Irvine as well as open dialogue pertaining to current social justice concerns.
