The President serves as Chief Executive Office of ASUCI, and Chair of the Executive Cabinet. They coordinate office management, ASUCI business operations, and personnel transactions with the ASUCI Executive Director and co-sign all budgetary expenditures. They advocate on issues concerning general welfare of students, issues relating to the administration of institutions of higher learning and administrative planning for the UCI campus. The President also serves as the ASUCI liaison with the office of the Chancellor and the office of the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance. In addition, they conduct the President’s Roundtable, serve on the UCSA President’s Council, Student Fee Advisory Board and Alumni Association Board of Directors. The President is elected in the Spring elections and serves one academic year.
The Executive Vice President chairs the Legislative Council, coordinates all meetings, and initiates Council members. They also oversee all ASUCI elections, advocate to the state government and coordinates all UC-wide advocacy efforts. In addition, they oversee the instruction of the Lobby Core class which teaches lobbying skills and leads lobbying weekends in Sacramento. The Executive Vice President is elected in the Spring elections and serves one academic year.
The Administrative Affairs Vice President coordinates internal affairs and services, as well as campus-wide committees, projects, and programs. They also oversee College Legal Clinic, ASUCI’s Recruitment, Outreach and Retention and the Student Boards- ARC, Bren, Student Center and Student Fee Advisory Committee. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring the continued involvement of students in influencing decision made within the University that might affect them. They also serve as the Vice-Chair of Legislative Council and assume the responsibilities of Chair if they are absent. The Administrative Affairs Vice President is elected in the Spring elections and serves one academic year.
The Vice President of Academic Affairs supports educational programs, services and governance on campus. They oversee appointed student representatives to the Academic Senate Committees and represent the undergraduate student body on all issues relating to educational quality at UCI. They are also responsible for running the Anteater Mentorship Program, the Speakers and Debate series, UTeach, Professor Luncheons and the Student Recommended Faculty Program. The Academic Affairs Vice President is elected in the Spring elections and serves one academic year.
The Student Services Vice President is responsible for programming and coordinating publicity for ASUCI events and programs. They plan major concerts, free films, spirit events, and comedy nights at the Pub. They also plan special events and festivals such as Welcome Week, Homecoming, Shocktoberfest, Wayzgoose, and Reggaefest. They are elected in the Spring elections and serve for one academic year.
