Howdy! My name is Katrina Vergara and I am your statewide organizing director for the 2016-2017 school year. This commission focuses on uplifting grassroots statewide initiatives through building coalitions with statewide organizations and connecting our campus communities with these statewide efforts. As the statewide organizing director I also serve as the Campus Organizing Director representation in UCSA (University of California Student Association) spaces connecting UCSA initiatives back to campus initiatives. This year I plan to focus efforts around food/housing insecurity, addressing sexual violence and our society that perpetuates it, and making the UC a safe and diverse system for all of its students. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, comments, concerns or if you would like to get involved in statewide organizing.
