Dulce Perez Zavala

Hello my name is Dulce, I am a fourth year Criminology and Psychological Sciences double major. I grew up in Socal so a lot of my favorite memories are of the beach. When I was little my family and I would go to Newport a lot, which is one of the major reasons as to why I chose to come to UCI. During my time here at UCI I have become a major boba enthusiast and I love going out to try new boba spots and new restaurants as well. I am that person to take a picture of my food, not to post it but to have it for my memories or end of the year recaps. Apart from being a foodie, I also enjoy keeping up with football, really sad that the season is over, but that just gives me extra time to plan my gap year. During that gap year I want to take a little road trip to Yosemite and go to concerts. I decided to be a part of the homecoming court because the homecoming festival last year was such a great experience for me and my friends and I wanted to be a part of it this year! I also love any good excuse to get dressed up and do my makeup.

Pierre Michaél Nelson

Hi!!

My name is Pierre Nelson and I’m a 4th yr Drama major at UCI. I’m originally from the Bay Area, the east bay to be more specific if you happen to be familiar. My interests in relation to my major have several intersections. So although I do enjoy acting and performing, I also a have vested interest in fashion and design. Due to the these dual interests I’ve taken the opportunity to take many of the costume design courses during my time here. But when I’m not in school, I usually want to spend my time hanging out with friends, thrifting, playing video games(I mostly play pc games like overwatch or league), and doing anything that seems generally interesting. I have a short list of foods that I do not like, but they are unfortunately very commonplace in most people’s diets : Apples, tomatoes, peanut butter and coconuts

Sasha Tesoro

Hi y’all, my name is Sasha Tesoro & and I’m running for homecoming this year! I’m a fourth year double major in Psychology BS and Educational Sciences and I work as a Campus Representative Student Coordinator and a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator at the SOAR Center. Beyond that, I’m a research assistant at the Design and Partnership Lab in the School of Education and doing my UROP project under Dr. June Ahn. Outside of campus, I have a dog who is my whole world! Her name is Luna and she’s a husky terrier mix who I’m trying to socialize and train myself. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with making coffee from a pot (vintage moment!) and finding those glass cups with the wood lids and straws on them wherever I can. I also love to mess around with different styles of outfits and things whenever I go out with friends and coworkers. I’m very social and you’ll usually catch me making spontaneous plans with my all my besties and driving around in Sadie (my car). In the future, I hope to work with children ina clinical setting and help them work through challenging situations and circumstances. I am so lucky to be an Anteater because of the diverse campus I’m surrounded by. As a BIPOC woman in STEM it’s hard to find places that accept me for who I am and what I want to do, but I’ve never had to worry about that at UCI. I have done my best to foster a community that aligns with those values and I want to continue to do that through the homecoming experience. You should vote for me because I have fought for a place in higher education and I want to support those who are trying to make a name for themselves and find a place where they fit in on this campus and within the world :)

Selina Arjomand

Hey Anteaters! I’m Selina Arjomand (she/her), and I’m thrilled to be one of your Homecoming candidates this year! It’s an absolute honor to be apart the running and to represent our incredible undergraduate class.

Just a little about me: I’m a transfer student and current 4th year, majoring in Informatics with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction. My goal is to become a UX Designer, and UCI
was always my top choice because of its unique program in this field. But beyond academics, UCI has become my home for so many meaningful reasons. The people I’ve met, the experiences
I’ve had, and the personal growth I’ve undergone during my time here have been truly life-changing. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

I’ve been actively involved in various campus activities, including:
• Commit the Change (CTC), Design Lead
• Design & Partnership Lab (DAPLAB), Design Lead
• ASUCI Multimedia Intern
• Design @ UCI Project Teams, UX Designer

If you want to catch me in the wild, you can usually find me:
• Sipping lattes and strolling bookstores
• Taking hot girl walks
• Cuddling with my cats
• Stressing in the science library
• Waitressing on weekends

My only regret at UCI is not being able to join this amazing community sooner. In my two short years here, I’ve already learned so much about the importance of community, friendships, and support. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my friends, family, and the UCI staff who have supported me throughout my journey.

To everyone supporting my Homecoming campaign, and to all the new friends I hope to meet along the way, thank you so much!!! As my time at UCI draws to a close, I’m committed to
making the most of every moment, which is why I decided to join the Homecoming court. I can’t wait to connect with all of you during Spirit Week and Homecoming Day! Love to all our
Anteaters! ZOT! ZOT! ZOT!

Theodora Oldfield

Hey! My name is Theodora Oldfield. I’m a fourth year dance major at UCI and I am running for 2024 Homecoming Court . I’m from Chico, CA (NorCal represent!). I honestly had no idea what to expect when I applied for homecoming court in Fall Quarter, but it has been such a cool time. I’ve gotten to learn about alumni associations, work with an amazing campaign manager, and go head-first into the school spirit during my final year! When I’m not taking dance classes and rehearsing for the next show (which is rarely) I spend my time being an officer of SWORD UCI, a medieval combat club where we use foam representations of medieval weapons to fight my friends. I also love fashion, gaming, and good food. I’m always down to try new restaurants or experiment with cooking. I’m obsessed with Star Wars so please talk to me about it whenever. I’m so excited to be on the crazy homecoming roller coaster!
