Hannah Chang
Homecoming Queen Candidates
CHEERS, fellow Anteaters!
Hey Eaters! My name is Hannah Chang and I am honored and thrilled to be on UCI’s Homecoming court. I am a fourth year Psychology and Social Behaviors major and a Sociology minor. I’m from Ventura, CA and have always been next to a beach, hence my decision to live in Newport Beach this year. I love to swim, snowboard, bike ride, and basically stay active. My latest additions are glitter, Sprite, and Modern Family, but I am a bookworm ‘til the end and I love to read during my free time.I love to hang out with my friends, my family means the world to me, and coming to UCI has been a blessing. While my academic life has been a large part of my experience as an undergraduate, my extra-curricular activities have been the most rewarding experiences that have made me the person I am today. When I joined my sorority Alpha Chi Omega my first year, so many doors were opened for me. I served on the Panhellenic Association Executive Board and also became President of Order of Omega, a Greek Honor society. UCI involvements, past and current, include working as an intern for ASUCI for Club Outreach, Student Services, the Green Initiative Funding Board, and the Vendor Fair. I also worked at the Disabilities Services Center as a student attendant and at the Princeton Review as an SAT tutor. I have been a member of Kyrie, a Korean Catholic Club, ABC (Anteater’s Book Club), and served on SPOP staff one Royal summer. I have volunteered with Humanities Out There and have volunteered with CARE for events such as Take Back the Night, the Clothesline Project, and Denim Day. It has been an amazing journey at UCI and it’s definitely all thanks to the people I’ve been blessed to meet through every opportunity. My greatest passion is bringing together diverse people from all over our campus and establishing a sense of community within all of us. And that is exactly my goal for serving on the Homecoming Court; I hope you all come out and get a good laugh, share your love for UCI, and/or revive that spirit that may have slipped away with all the stress that school brings. Thank you for all your support and I’ll see you during Homecoming Week!!
