CHEERS, fellow Anteaters!

My name is JANELLE SAUZ (Sa-OOz), and I am a 4th year Public Health
Sciences Major with a double minor in Business Management and Civic &
Community Engagement. As this year’s President of Pre-Pharmacy Society
(PPS) at UCI, I am currently focusing on “EVOLUTION” – striving for
progressive development and cultivating untapped potentials
My goals by the time I graduate are 1) to EXPERIENCE, 2) to SHARE my
experiences, and 3) to INSPIRE you to do the same. CHYEEEAHHH!

The different roles I have had as a UCI undergraduate have made my
experience here A+MAZING: a Filipino dancing in Kababayan’s PCN (“Sayaw sa
Bangko,” “Tinikling,” etc.), a Woman growing in Delta Phi Gamma (Kappa
Class), a Lil Sis supporting Zeta Phi Rho (Lambda Class), an Assistant
researching for Dr. Baldwin’s lab (Dept. of Physiology & Biophysics), and
a Publicist—and now, President—leading Pre-Pharmacy Society.  Side
Note: I am a sucker for inspirational quotes, delicious dishes,
artistic creations, expressive passions, acoustic melodies, funky beats,
edgy sneakers, innovative ideas, and everyday people. So who’s
awesome? YOU’RE AWESOME!

A future project to look out for that I am working on with Materials
Science Engineering Club (MatSci) is SPRING SPIRIT WEEK! With a weeklong
of events, giveaways, prizes, speakers—and so much more! —the purpose is
to encourage active participation through organization pride and
faculty-student-alumni relations. By emphasizing the university’s CORE
VALUES, together we will celebrate the past, present, and future
contributions of the UC Irvine campus and community. YIPPPEEEE! 8-)
