All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Pizza with Peer Academic Advisors Event Night Funding

Whereas, the Office of Academic Affairs strives to enhance the college experience of students through the dynamic avenues of mentorship, leadership and academic enrichment,

Whereas the Academic Engagement commission is housed under the Office of Academic Affairs,

 

Whereas, the Academic Engagement commission strives to create and implement innovative events and programs that benefit the academic welfare of students at UC Irvine,

 

Whereas it is the duty of the Academic Affairs Office and Legislative Council to promote student life, education and overall welfare at UC Irvine,

 

Whereas, on October 2nd, 2014 the Academic Engagement commission hosted the “Pizza with (your) Peer Academic Advisors” where over 150 students were in attendance,

 

Whereas, the venue reservation and food options for the event totaled $158.19 ($45 for venue reservation with SCES, $113.19 for food),

 

Let it be resolved that $75 be taken out of ASUCI Legislative Council Unallocated Account (7115-6501) and transferred to the Academic Engagement Programming Account (7250-6423)


Let it further be resolved that the ASUCI Legislative Council supports the Pizza with your Peer Academic Advisors event hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs.
