Whereas, Engineering Ball (or E-Ball) is an event hosted by Engineering Student Council for all engineers and guests to mingle, network, relax and to have a good time,

Whereas, in previous years, the turnout has mainly been ESC general members and board members, which doesn’t encompass a wide variety of engineering student clubs (ESOs),

Whereas, many ESOs have had their elections and have established new leadership for academic year 2018-2019,

Whereas, this event is a great opportunity for incoming engineering student leaders to network with each other in a more casual setting,

Whereas, an opportunity arose to help bring the UCI engineering community together through promoting this big event and having more participation from ESOs,

Whereas, the use of $200 of senate funds will be utilized to offer an incentivize (1 ticket for each student club on a first come first serve basis) so that we can bring more ESOs out to E-Ball,

Whereas, listed below is the use of the funds:

10x Ticket Cost $20 each……………………Total: $200

Whereas, if any of the ten tickets are not claimed, the money will be used to help cover the event costs,

Whereas, after the event has concluded, the current engineering senator will debrief the senate on the effectiveness of the incentives provided and where that money was spent for transparency reasons,

Let it be resolved that $200 be withdrawn from the senate unallocated account #6501-7805 and given to ESC for the costs mentioned above.
