Summer Shuttle Service 2009
Posted by Daniel Pyenson:

Friday, June 12th 2009 will be the last day of shuttle service for Spring Quarter 2009.
Summer Shuttle Service will begin on June 22nd. It will consist of 2 routes: ARC-CT and VDC-VDCN Summer. Scheduling information, GPS and route maps are available by clicking on the VDC-VDCN Summer and ARC-CT tabs on the left side of the Shuttle Website.
The ARC-CT Shuttle will run weekdays beginning June 22nd from 3:30pm to 10:00pm. It will travel exclusively between the ARC and the entrance to the AV1 Parking Lot on a 12 minute loop. The ARC-CT Shuttle will be free of charge. If the ARC-CT shuttle is not utilized, July 2nd will be its last day of service. If the service is discontinued we will post an announcement on the Shuttle Website.
VDC-VDCN Summer Service will consist of 2 buses, approximately 12 minutes apart, running on a 25 minute loop that will service both the VDC and VDC Norte communities only. Service will run from approximately 7:30am to 8:00pm on weekdays only.
VDC-VDCN Summer Shuttle Service is free to VDC and VDC Norte residents only. Admittance is by a ride sticker affixed to a UCI ID. VDC and VDC Norte Residents can pick up their sticker at their leasing office beginning June 22nd. Anyone else wishing to use the service for the summer can purchase a ride sticker for $60 from UC Items. UC Items is open 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday. The phone number there is (949) 824-7555. The sticker is good for the entire summer. Alternatively, anyone who wishes to use the service may pay $1 per one-way trip to the driver.
Week 1 of Summer Session 1 (June 22-26) and Week 1 of Summer Session 2 (August 3-7) will be free to everyone. Other than those two weeks, everyone who rides the shuttle must have a valid ride sticker or pay $1 per trip. NO EXCEPTIONS.
