External Vice President

Victoria Montalvo (She/Hers)
Hi everyone! My name is Victoria Montalvo and I will be serving as your ASUCI External Vice President for the 2021-2022 school year! I am a third-year Political Science & Social Policy and Public Service double major and an aspiring lawyer. My experience with the EVP Office starts back in my first year when I was hired as a Staffer to the Legislative Affairs Commission. I later served as the 2019-2020 State Affairs Coordinator and the 2020-2021 Legislative Director. As a proud first-generation Latina student, I became involved in ASUCI my first year because I wanted to be a voice for underrepresented students on campus. The Office of the External Vice President has given me the opportunity to advocate for a change in our community, and with this position, I hope to give other students the same opportunity. This year, I plan to continue our efforts on doubling the Pell Grant, strengthen relationships with our representatives, and fight any tuition and student fee increases. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me!

Chief of Staff

Iris Nini Wu (She/Hers)
Hi everyone! My name is Iris Wu and I go by Nini. I am a third-year political science major from Norman, Oklahoma and yes we do have more than just grass and horses back home! I have grown up in a very tight-knit college town and moving to Irvine has allowed me to grow outside of my bubble. Growing up in the South as an Asian-American has allowed me a very different perspective on certain issues. Through my background, I have become very passionate about social activism and community service/engagement. Through my position, I hope to increase engagement among our student body and to spark some excitement about our office’s priorities for the year while creating a safe, comfortable, and fun work environment for our staff.
