REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Finals Week Coffee Break

Whereas, the Finals Week Coffee Break with the Biological Sciences department was a success in the previous quarter,

 

Whereas, the students of the Biological Sciences and Engineering departments deserve a quick break from the long and arduous hours of studying for finals,

 

Whereas, providing snacks, energy drinks, and coffee will help attract students to socialize in an area that will allow for the communication of ideas and thoughts among those within their perspective majors,

 

Whereas, the event will help publicize ASUCI in time for Spring Elections,

 

Whereas, the Biological Sciences and Engineering Representatives of ASUCI will work cooperatively to host, publicize, and organize the event, ensuring a thorough cleanup once the event has ended,

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates

$280 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 for the following

appropriations:

 -Fliers $20

 -Snacks $110

 -Coffee and Energy Drinks $100

 -Tax and Misc. $50

 

Let it further be resolved that this event occur on Monday, March 20

2006 from 7:00-8:00 PM in front of the Science Library.

 

Let it further be resolved that Legislative Council Members show their

support by attending and/or publicizing the event.

 

Let it finally be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to Council

Unallocated account #6501-7115 at the conclusion of the event.
