REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Purchase of a New Copy Machine

Whereas, the current copy machine has served the Associated Students for the past eight years, and

Whereas, it is now time to retire the current copy machine as it is continually inoperable, fails to work correctly, and

Whereas, it is necessary that ASUCI be equipped with a state of the art copy machine in order to better serve the needs of it's constituents and provide those constituents their necessary services, and

Whereas, the Associate Director has worked tirelessly to ensure a good deal on a new copier, and

Whereas, ASUCI has healthy reserves, and

Whereas, purchasing capital goods is the purpose of reserves.

Therefore, let it be resolved, that Thirty-two Thousand dollars $32,000 be allocated out of General Reserves for all the costs of purchasing a new copy machine such as annual maintance fees, the cost of the copier, sales tax, delivery and setup charges etc.

Let if finally be resolved, that any funds unused be returned to the General Reserves.
