REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Reallocation of C.A.R.E. and I.C.E Budgets

Whereas, a need has arisen for better financial categorization of the referendum budgets, and

 

Whereas, the expenditures for the C.A.R.E. and I.C.E. referendums were being paid for out of the same account, and

 

Whereas, this join account was not adequately funded to provide for both accounts, and

 

Whereas, this original amount of funding was only $6,630, and

 

Whereas, the projected budget for the C.A.R.E. referendum will be $9,000, and

 

Whereas, the projected budget for the I.C.E. referendum will be $3,000, and

 

Whereas, there is money that is available and was intended to be moved from other accounts, and

 

Whereas, those accounts are also in the executive offices where the said campaigns are being ran out of, and

 

Whereas, Legislative Council, the voice of the Undergraduate student body, passed allocations originally for the expenditure of Voter information material on the campaigns, and

 

Whereas, Legislative Council also endorsed all referenda on the ASUCI 2006 Spring Election Ballot.

 

Therefore, let it be resolved, that a new account be created for the I.C.E. Referendum.

 

Let it also be resolved, that the following budget reallocations be made:
