REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Social Science Meet and Greet

Whereas, it is a responsibility of the Social Science Legislative Council Representatives to reach out to and interact with their constituents, and

 

Whereas, it is a responsibility of ASUCI to assure a smooth and successful transition from incoming and out-going Legislative Council Representatives, and

 

Whereas, a “meet and greet” event will encourage interactions between both incoming and out-going Social Science Legislative Council members and their constituency, their Associate Dean, and allow for a forum of discussion for relevant issues facing the School of Social Sciences,

 

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocate $150 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7120 towards the following appropriations:

 

Food: $100

Drinks: $50

 

Let if further be resolved that this event will occur in the 2006 Spring Quarter, and

 

Let it finally be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account # 6501-7120 at the conclusion of the event.
