REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: ICS Pizza Mixer

Whereas, the ICS Breakfast Social was a successful event last year since
it improved communication between students/faculty and Dean Richardson,
increased ICS club involvement and communication, and gave the former ICS
representative a chance to gain insight and feedback from her
constituents, and
 
Whereas, the current ICS representative made a commitment to participate in
hosting the event along with the ICS Student Affairs Office
 
Whereas, providing pizza and drinks will help attract faculty and
students to bring them together in an informal setting that will allow
them to exchange ideas and information, and
 
Whereas, ASUCI will be providing money for the purchase of the most necessary item
for the event, ICS Student Affairs Office will work with the ICS
Representative by helping to plan the event, pass out fliers, set-up prior
to the mixer, work at the event, and clean up once the event has ended,
 
Whereas, the ICS Student Affairs Office has agreed to pay for all other provisions necessary for the event which will include but is not limited to utensils, plates, napkins, fliers, cups, and soda
 Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates
$300 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 for the following
appropriations:
 -Pizza: $300
 
Let if further be resolved that this event occur on Thursday, November 16,
2006 from 11:30am  1:00pm in front of the Computer Science Building.
 
Let it further be resolved that Legislative Council Members show their
support by attending the event and/or helping with the preparations.
 
Let it finally be resolved that any remaining funds be returned to Council
Unallocated account #6501-7115 at the conclusion of the event.
