REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: ICS Faculty Breakfast

Whereas, the ICS Pizza Mixer was a successful event Fall 2006 since it improved communication between students/faculty and Dean Richardson, increased ICS club involvement and communication, and gave the current ICS representative a chance to gain insight and feedback from his constituents, and Whereas, the current ICS representative made a commitment to participate in hosting the event along with the Women in Information and Computer Science (WICS), and  Whereas, providing breakfast will help attract faculty and students to bring them together in an informal setting that will allow them to exchange ideas and information, and Whereas, ASUCI will be providing money for the purchase of the most necessary items for the event, WICS will work with the ICS Representative by helping to plan the event, pass out fliers, set-up prior to the mixer, work at the event, and clean up once the event has ended, Whereas, WICS has agreed to pay for all other provisions necessary for the event, which will include but is not limited to utensils, plates, napkins, fliers, cups, tables, and trash cans. Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates $300 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 for the following appropriations: - Coffee - Creamer - Sugar - Donuts - Muffins - Granola Bars Let if further be resolved that this event occur on February 14, 2007 from 9:00am to 11:00am in front of the Computer Science Building. Let it finally be resolved that any remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account #6501-7115 at the conclusion of the event.
