REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Meet the UCI Police Department

 Whereas, Law Enforcement is one of the most popular career options for Criminology: Law and Society majors in the school of Social Ecology; and,

Whereas, it is important for students to network with future employers; and,

Whereas, the UCI Police Department (UCIPD) have alumni from the school of Social Ecology that will be present to talk with students and potential UCIPD employees; and,

Whereas, the UCIPD will be arranging "ride-a-longs" with the students; and,

Whereas, influential members of the UCIPD will be persent, including the Chief and Assistant-Cheif of Police to answer any questions students may have and to pass out informational materials; and,

Whereas, food and the chance of future employment will attract many students.

Therefore, let is be resolved that, ASUCI allocates the amount of $150, taken from Council Unallocated account #6501-7120 for the purposes of food, tables, and chairs; and,

Let it be further resolved that, this event take place on February 21, 2007 between the hours of 11am-2pm; and,

Let it finally be resolved that, the Public Information committee publicize the event to the campus via flyers/posters and/or tabling.
