All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Wheelchair lifts

Whereas, it is the law for buses to be equipped with wheelchair lifts, and Whereas, adding lifts to our buses, prevents student government from being sued, and Whereas, wheelchair lifts add book value to the bus, and if destroyed or sold, ASUCI will be compensated for the added expense, and Whereas we currently have five equipped vehicles, and Whereas five remaining buses (232, 233, 234, 235, and 236) need the lifts to be installed, Whereas each lift will cost $12, 152.77, Let it be resolved that $60,763.85 (5 x $12,152.77) be allocated from general reserves account #6010-7990. Let it further be resolved that any unused funds be returned to general reserves.
