REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Monthly Bio Sci Forums

Whereas, monthly bio forums have been successful in initiating club collaboration, increasing communication between administration/staff and students, and provided a medium to obtain both support and feedback for the events relating to the School of Biological Sciences, and

Whereas, students who have participated in past meetings have given positive feedback and wish to continue said meetings, and

Whereas, food has always been proven to be an incentive to get student attention and participation, and

Whereas, past Bio Sci forums have been instrumental in the decisions regarding policies and procedures pertaining to undergraduate bio students, and

Whereas, these Bio Sci forums provide students with the rare opportunity to openly discuss pertinent issues with their Dean, and

Whereas, the Superclub builds a strong rapport with bio students and bio club leaders which aid to promote ASUCI events such as the annual Bio Sci Week during spring quarter, and

Whereas, ASUCI Legislative Council has approved and funded this event for the past two years,

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates $525 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 for the following appropriations

? Food (BC?s)?????..$75 per meeting x ~ 5 meetings = $375

Let it further be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account
#6501-7115 at the conclusion of spring quarter 2005.
