REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: You Got Served: Faculty vs. Students

Whereas building relationships between faculty and students is a responsibility of the Representatives in Legislative Council; and

Whereas students in the School of Social Ecology have expressed a need for an event in which to socialize with faculty and other Social Ecology students;

Therefore, Let it be resolved that ?You Got Served: Faculty vs. Students? be held in order to allow students and faculty to socialize outside the classroom on March 2, 2005 from 12-2pm at the Social Science Plaza courtyard;

Let it further be resolved that the event will consist of a faculty vs. student band competition for the first half and the second half will consist of a Jeopardy challenge between a student team and a faculty team;

Let it also be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocate $1185 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 for the following appropriations:


Conference and Scheduling Costs??????..445.00
Band Stipend??????????????.....40.00
Publicity????????????????. 100.00
Food??????????????????500.00
Prizes?????????????????...100.00

Let it finally be resolved that any remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 and that ASUCI Legislative Council put forth efforts to support this event by attending and helping with its setup.
