REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Caffeine Break

Whereas one of the goals of the Social Science reps is to encourage academics, and

Whereas finals week is very stressful for students, and

Whereas a Caffeine Break will motivate the students to continue studying, and

Whereas other reps have had this event in the past and it has been very successful in providing positive publicity for ASUCI, and

Whereas it would provide an opportunity for the Social Sciences Representatives to interact with their constituents,

Let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates $280 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 to the following appropriations:
* Starbucks Frappuccino Coffee Drinks (175) @ 1.28 ea = $224
* Starbucks Double Shots (25) @ 1.28 ea= $32
* Tax and Misc. $24

Let it further be resolved that this event will take place on Monday March 21, 2005 from 6:30-8pm between Gateway Commons and the Main Library,

Let it also be resolved that in order to receive the coffee, students will have to fill out a short survey intended to communicate their needs to their representatives,

Let it additionally be resolved that Legislative Council Members show their support by attending the event and/or helping with preparations,

Let it finally be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account #6501-7115 at the conclusion of the event.
