REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Whereas the School of Humanities is notorious for giving its students in-class essays for finals, and

Whereas students often forget their bluebooks for their essays, and

Whereas students often forget the change required to purchase all their supplies (pencils also) for their finals, and

Whereas some students in Humanities need an extra boost to get over the hurdles of their long finals,

Let it therefore be resolved that $300 be allocated from Council Unallocated Account #6501-7115 in the following appropriations:

Blue Books???????????????????.$ 62.00 (250 bluebooks x $0.25)
Pencils?????????????????????$ 37.50 (250 pencils x $0.15)
Starbucks Frappuccinos?.?????????????$ 130.00 (10 packs of 12 x $13.00)
Tables, two chairs, trash can????????????..$17.50
Tax and Misc................................$50.00

Let it further be resolved that this event occur during finals week on Monday, March 21, 2005 from 12 to 2 pm in the Humanities Area in front of the star shaped planter, and

Let it also be resolved that Legislative Council members show their support for this event, and

Let it finally be resolved that any unused funds be returned to Council Unallocated Account # 6501-7115.
