REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Transfer of funds for ASUCI Concert

Whereas, the office of Student Services works tirelessly to provide quality entertainment for students campus-wide, and

Whereas, Homecoming Week 2005 was a huge success, bringing out more suppot and voters than ever before, and

Whereas, due to excellent programming and research skills by the Vice President of Student Services and the ASUCI Programs Coordinator, only $5,500 out of the allocated $10,000 was spent for this year?s Homecoming, and

Whereas, ASUCI has already lined up a concert for May 12, 2005 at the Bren Events Center, but due to lack of funding, additional funds are necessary to ensure a great event for the students at large.

Therefore, let it be resolved that $4,500 be transferred from Homecoming account #6423-7425 to Major Concerts account #6423-7420 for the implementation and programming of the first ASUCI Major Concert in almost 2 years.
