REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Jumpstart and Claim Your Future

Whereas, one of the goals of the ASUCI Legislative Council Representatives is to represent the academic needs of our constituents, and

Whereas, many soon to be graduates are faced with the question of Now What?, and

Whereas, it is beneficial for the students to develop relationships with job recruiters, and

Whereas, it is beneficial for students who want to travel abroad to develop relationships with local travel agencies, and

Whereas, it is the Legislative Council Representatives’ responsibility to provide spaces that would allow such interaction between students, faculty, alumni, recruiters and travel agents, and

Whereas, this event would be an excellent opportunity for students to explore the options available to them after graduation by engaging in dialogue with fellow students, alumni, and professionals, and

Whereas, it would also allow the representatives the opportunity to communicate with their constituency,

Let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocate $390 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7120 to the following appropriations:

Equipment (Tables, Trash Cans, ect.): 60
Food and Refreshments (Marie Calendars Catering) : 275
Fliers: 10
Tax & Miscellaneous: 45

Let it further be resolved that this event will take place on Friday June 17, 2005 from 4:00-6:00pm in the Engineering Gateway Courtyard.

Let it finally be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account #6501-7120 at the conclusion of the event.
