REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Voters Registration Competition

Whereas, it is the interest of ASUCI to promote students, clubs and student organizations involvement on issues affecting students' life.

Whereas, ASUCI does not promote any political views, ASUCI do promote voters registration for the state general election in order to enhance students" involvement in political issues that may affect their life and the welfare of the university.

Whereas, student clubs and organizations have high numbers of student members, it is in the interest of ASUCI to utilize these clubs and organization to promote high voter registrations. 

Whereas, student clubs and organizations are more likely to use their organization to promote special events if there are incentives to participate.

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates $150 from Council Unallocated account # 6501-7115 as an incentive for student clubs and Organizations to participate in the upcoming voters registration.

Let it further be resolved that there be a competition among the student clubs and organizations to compete for ASUCI funding. 

Let it further be resolved that funding from ASUCI shall be allocated a student club or organization that promotes the most voters registration.

Let it further be resolved that funding from ASUCI shall be allocated to the winning club or organization's to promote a club event at their discretion.

Let it further be resolved that Public Info committee be charged with making banners to advertise the event. 

Let it further be resolved that Student Involvement committee shall be charge with contacting and informing student clubs and organization of the event.
