REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: COME VOTE CONDOM AND CANDY ELECTION

Whereas, ASUCI elections have had a historically low voter turnout, and

 

Whereas, ASUCI seeks to involve more students in order to be truly representative of the student body, and

 

Whereas, a new method is required to capture the attention of the student body, and

 

Whereas, safe sex is a positive message to promote to young college students and would make a great addition to ASUCI election promotions.

 

Let it therefore be resolved that $50.00 be allocated from Council Unallocated account #6501-7115 in the following appropriations:

 

Candy or Chocolate $50

 

Let it further be resolved that the condoms are donated,

Let it further be resolved that this event occur on Wednesday, November 162005 (Week 8 from 11:00am to 2:00pm on ring road and that Legislative Council members show their support and spirit by attending the event and/or helping with the preparations.

 

Let it finally be resolved that any unused funds be returned to Council Unallocated #6501-7115
