REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: A Bill to allocate funds to purchase a replacement server

Whereas, last weekend the ASUCI web & email server crashed, and

Whereas, ASUCI having a viable web server is of the utmost importance in fostering lines of communication internally and externally with the students ASUCI represents, and

Whereas, ASUCI hosts its own website and e-mail making this an emergency situation that required  to ASUCI purchase a new server, and

Whereas, the ASUCI webmaster has purchased a new server to resolve this crisis.

Therefore, let it be resolved that 731.61 dollars be allocated, with unused funds being returned, from general reserves account # 6010-7990 for the following:


$ 516.12 for a Mac Mini
$ 215.49 for an External Firewire Drive
