REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 

All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Social Bash

Date of Presentation: 11-15-05  

Whereas it is the responsibility of ASUCI to improve social life on campus, and

Whereas, social events encourage interaction between the students and the organizations in the Schools of Social Science and Social Ecology and create a stronger sense of community within our schools, and

Whereas, “Social Bash” would be a great opportunity for the Social Science and Social Ecology Representatives to interact and communicate with our constituencies while serving as good publicity for ASUCI, and

Whereas, “Social Bash” would provide the students with a friendly environment where they could relax before finals, and

Therefore, let it be resolved that “Social Bash” be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 1:00-3:00pm at the Social Science Plaza,

Let it further be resolved that $480   be allocated from Council Unallocated Account # towards the following appropriations:

Food: $300

Tables/chairs/trashcans: $180

Let also be resolved that all remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated Account #6501-7115,

Let it finally be resolved that all ASUCI Legislative Council members support the event by attending and/or helping with set-up.
