REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Legislative Council Sweatshirts and T-shirts

Whereas, council members need a way to identify himself and/or herself from the rest of the crowd so that the students know which students are members of the Legislative Council, and

Whereas, the comfort of the Legislative Council members during an event will contribute to the effectiveness of communication between the council member and his or her constituents, and

Whereas a sweatshirt/t-shirt is a promotional material, and

Whereas, a sweatshirt/t-shirt can be used by council members at tabling hours, office hours, and events thrown by council members, and

Whereas, a sweatshirt/t-shirt would expose our unity and involvement not only within council, but also on the campus, and

Whereas, 20 council members had requested BOTH shirts and sweatshirts and the $500 allocated for this is not enough to cover their price.

Therefore, let it resolved that an additional $150 would be added to the $500 we have available for shirts and sweatshirts from Council Unallocated Account # 6501-7120 for the purpose of purchasing ASUCI Legislative Council sweatshirts and t-shirts.

Let it finally be resolved that any remaining funds be returned to Council Unallocated account #6501-7120 after the purchase of these items.
