REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Humanities Event

Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI Legislative Council representatives to improve the communication and awareness between their respective school(s) and its constituents

Whereas, one of the goals as Humanities Representatives is to encourage students to seek enriching opportunities offered through the utilization of on-campus resources which can benefit their progression at UCI,

Whereas, a gathering event during Week 8 for preferably Humanities students, but not limited to them, will offer a social atmosphere where students can network, relax, and exchange ideas about on-campus publications/literature/journalism,

Whereas, this event would promote the interaction between the Humanities Representative and its constituents,

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocate $350.00 From Council Unallocated account 6501-7120 for appropriations below, and that any remaining funds unused after the event are returned to Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120. :

-Food: 200.00
-Tables/chairs/decorations: 100.00
-Survey Supplies: 50.00

Let it further be resolved that this event occur on Monday, May 19, 2008 from 5pm to 7pm in the Student Center.
