All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Whereas, in order to be effective members of Legislative Council, council members need to know their responsibilities and understand how to write legislations, practice Robert’s Rules of Order, meet with administrators and plan events, and Whereas, without assistance these skills take a long time to learn, and
Whereas, the learning curve could be substantially accelerated if incoming members had a chance to meet with and receive advising from experienced council members,
Therefore, let it be resolved that a Legislative Council Retreat for current and incoming members of Legislative Council be held on Saturday, May 31 from 12:00 to 4:00 in Crescent Bay A, and let $800 be distributed from council unallocated (account # 6501-7120) to pay for the following expenses:
Room set-up $100
Food- $600
Workshop materials- $100 |
