REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Engineer Breakfast

Whereas, the students of the Engineering departments deserve a quick break from the long and arduous hours of studying for midterms,
 
Whereas, providing snacks and coffee will help attract students to socialize in an area that will allow for the communication of ideas and thoughts among those within their perspective majors,
 
Whereas, students find little time to feed themselves during the stressful time of midterms,

Whereas, studies prove breakfast is one of the more important meals of the day for students, and

Whereas, this would be an opportune time for the members of Legislative Council to meet their constituents, and
Whereas, a study break would provide an opportunity to discover, learn, and assess many concerns of the students in the School of Engineering, and
Whereas, the Breakfast with ASUCI will take place on November 24, 2008 from 8:30AM to 10:30AM,

Let it be resolved that ASUCI Legislative Council allocates $500 from the Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120 for the following appropriations

trash cans $18
tables $36
Chairs $4
Marketing: $37
Survey Supplies: $20
Scantrons/raffle prizes: $35
Food (Pastries, and snacks): $275
Beverages (various juices, water, energy and coffee drinks): $75

Let it finally be resolved that the remaining funds be returned to the Council Unallocated account #6501-7120.
