REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Purchase of New Equipment

Whereas storage of the student government servers currently occupies an entire office space in ASUCI,

Whereas this space could be more effectively utilized as an actual office for students,
 
Whereas there is ample space in the storage rooms to store the servers,
 
Whereas storing the servers in the storage room will require special equipment to protect the expensive technology from theft or damage,
 
Whereas ASUCI requires several other items to facilitate an efficient and organized office,
 
Let it be resolved that $10,000 be taken from ASUCI Reserves Account #6010 to purchase the following items:
 
            $300 Tools
            $5000 Storage racks/shelves
            $200 Key cabinets
            $500 Utility push cart
            $1000 Cage for servers
            $1500 Media Cart
            $1500 Electrical and data lines (for both storage room and council office)
