REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Biological Sciences Dean-Student Lunch

Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to improve student life on
campus, and

Whereas, it is a goal of the Biological Sciences Representatives to encourage both a spirited social and learning environment throughout the School of Biological Sciences, and

Whereas, a Dean-Student lunch will provide students with an opportunity to get professional advice from the deans of Biological Sciences in related fields, and

Whereas, hosting the interaction in the form of a lunch will allow for an inviting and sociable atmosphere for the Biological Sciences deans and students, and

Whereas, a lunch will provide the opportunity for students to enhance their educational experience with professional development that will both expose the needs and foster solutions for the students in Biological Sciences.

Therefore, let it be resolved that a Biological Sciences Dean-Student Lunch be held Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm in Natural Sciences II, room 4201.

Let it further be resolved that $400 be allocated from Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120 towards the cost of lunch, detailed as follows:

Food: $400

Any excess funds to be returned to the Council Unallocated Account.
