Whereas, the Office of Student Services has to revise commissioner stipends to reflect the new structure of the office.

Whereas, Student Services commissioners have been working since June 2009 planning and executing major campus events like Welcome Week, Movie Nights, Comedy Nights, Noontime Concerts and Shocktoberfest.

 Whereas it has become necessary due to the extreme workload of our fellow anteater(s) to include a second  Festivals commissioner, that was at first thought unnecessary,

 Whereas it has also been necessary to make arrangements to bring a Concerts Commissioner into our organization. It seems only proper and appropriate to provide such requisitions as to be allowed their just compensation,

 Whereas, this precedent has been set in the past, but it was the hope of this Vice President to be always dynamic and innovative in order to provide the most benefit to our students by cost saving measures. However, the intrinsic duties of this Commission and its workload (upwards to 20+ hours a week during event weeks) requires compensation for time and accountability.

 Whereas, it is an effort of ASUCI to always bring the best and biggest benefit to our students. In an effort to keep costs down, it has become necessary to include this second Festivals Commissioner instead of hiring outside help.

 Whereas, the previous budget did not take into account this additional hiring, the office of Student Service Vice Presidency would like to make such an addition now,

 Let it therefore be resolved that transfers be executed from the following accounts within the Office of Student Services:

 $800.00 from   Account #6423-7410 Noontime Concerts     to        Account # 6012-7400

$400.00 from   Account #6406-7400  T-Shirts                          to        Account # 6012-7400

$275.00 from   Account #6420- 7400 Contingency                  to       Account# 6012-7400
