REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Moving location of the April 22, 2010 legislative council meeting for ICS Reserve Career Fair

Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to encourage student growth academically and professionally,

Whereas, on April 22, 2010 the School of Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) is hosting a Reverse Career Fair to bridge a gap between companies and the numerous industries that are realizing the need for computer science professionals,
 
Whereas, the Reverse Career Fair will give an opportunity for ICS students to showcase their projects to companies and hiring representatives. 
 
Whereas, ICS has reserved Woods Cove A and B, and would like to extend to Woods Cove C to eliminate any confusion that may arise in redirecting students, companies, hiring representatives, and other participants to another room,
 
Whereas, Legislative Council has a meeting at 5:00pm  in Woods Cove C and would prevent ICS from expanding their Reverse Career Fair,
 
Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to support and provide funds for students and student run programs and cost should not prevent ICS from further expanding their Reverse Career Fair,
 
Therefore, let it be resolved that on April 22, 2010 Legislative Council will conduct its meeting in Crescent Bay.
 
Let it further be resolved that $40 be allocated from Legislative Council Unallocated fund #6501-7120 for the purpose of moving the Legislative Council meeting reservation on April 22. 2010 from its current location to the room mentioned above.
