Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to improve student life on campus, and

Whereas, it is one of the goals of the Engineering Representatives to encourage a social learning environment throughout the Henry Samueli School of Engineering, and

Whereas, a Dean-Student luncheon will provide students with an opportunity to ask questions and voice their concerns, as well as get professional advice from the Dean of the school of Engineering in related fields, and

Whereas, UCI’s Engineering Student Council’s has begun publicizing this event, and

Whereas, sponsoring this Dean luncheon will allow for an inviting and sociable atmosphere for the Dean of Engineering and students a like, and

Whereas, a Dean-Student Lunch would provide the opportunity for students to network  and enhance their educational experience with professional advise from the Dean of  Engineering as well as expose the needs and concerns of the undergraduate students of  the School of Engineering.

Therefore, let it be resolved that the ASUCI sponsor the Engineering Dean-Student Lunch which will be held Tuesday, May 18th, 2010 at the Phoenix Grille Patio. 

Let it further be resolved that $150.00 be allocated from the Council Unallocated Account  6501-7120 towards the cost of lunch and refreshments for the event; to be clarified as food,  specifically pizza from Domino’s Pizza, utensils, plates, and soda.
