REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: School of Physical Sciences Student-Professor Mixer

Whereas, it is the responsibility of ASUCI to improve student life on campus, and

Whereas, it is the goal of the Physical Sciences Representative to encourage both a spirited social and learning environment throughout the School of Physical Sciences, and

Whereas, hosting this event in the form of a dinner will allow for an inviting and sociable atmosphere for the Physical Sciences professors and students, and

Whereas, a Professor-Student Mixer, will provide students with an opportunity to get professional advice and possibly research opportunities from professors in the School of Physical Sciences, and

Whereas, a dinner will encourage an opportunity for students to enhance their educational experience, further their intellectual curiosity, and foster solutions to the needs of students in the Physical Sciences,

Therefore, let it be resolved that the Physical Sciences Student-Professor Mixer be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 6:00-8:00pm.

Let it further be resolved that $120.00 be allocated from the Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120 towards the cost of dinner for the event; sandwiches, chips, beverages, plates and utensils.
