Item Number: 91 Legislation Number (B: Bill, R: Resolution): B46-17
Author:   Logan Frick   Second:  Steve Scifo
Synopsis: Judicial Board Re-Allocation of Funds
Date of Presentation: 2-22-2011

Whereas, the United States Student Association is hosting their annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. for the purpose of student advocacy with representatives from their respective campuses,

Whereas, it would be beneficial for ASUCI to have leaders from all three branches represented at the conference,

Whereas, Vice Chair Dmitriy Kunitskiy will be attending the conference on behalf of the Judicial Board and has already booked his flight at a cost of $308.39, with a registration cost of $250.00, and an estimated hotel expenses cost of $91.61,

Whereas, the Judicial Board does not have an account which is expressly permitted to be used for travel expenses,

Whereas, the Speakers and Debate account, which is under the VP of Academic Affairs, has a sizable surplus and Vice President Scifo has volunteer to transfer money out of that account to ensure that Justice Kunitskiy can attend the conference,

Let it therefore be resolved that $300.00 be allocated out of Judicial Board's contingency training account 6420-7500, $150.00 be allocated out of Judicial Board's office supplies account 6103-7500 and $200.00 be allocated out of Vice President of Academic Affairs' Speakers and Debate account 6423-7270, to be placed into the appropriate travel account 6409-7160 under the Executive Vice President.
