REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Allocation for My student Life Initiatives

Whereas, ASUCI has voted to endorse the My Student Life Initiatives,
Whereas, a large-scale publicity campaign will be necessary to fully educate the UCI student community regarding the initiatives,
 
Whereas, the University of California, Irvine Guidelines for Compulsory Campus-Based Fees state, “if an UCI Administrative Office spends funds to produce printed materials in support of a fee initiative, it shall make available through the student governments an equal amount to produce printed materials against the fee initiative,”
 
Let it be resolved that ASUCI allocate $5,000 for the ASUCI Initiative, $2500 of which shall be designated for a campaign in favor of the initiative and $2500 of which shall be designated for a campaign against the initiative,
 
Let it be further resolved that the money shall come from the following account:
Anteater Express Program Cost: 6423-8050
And transferred into the following account:
*Executive Contingency: 6420-7070
 
Let it be resolved that Anteater Express allocate $5,000 for the Anteater Express Initiative, $2500 of which shall be designated for a campaign in favor of the initiative and $2500 of which shall be designated for a campaign against the initiative,
 
Let it be further resolved that the money shall come from the following account:
Anteater Express Program Cost: 6423-8050
 
 Let it finally be resolved that these funds shall be allocated in accordance with the criteria established in the University of California, Irvine Guidelines for Compulsory Campus-Based Fees.
