REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Bio-Week Event

 Where as, it is our duty as Legislative Council Representatives to be a liaison between the students and faculty, staff, and the dean,


Where as, it is our goal to promote student life, education, and interaction with faculty,

Where as, it is our responsibility to provide students the opportunity to to discuss important issues with our dean and staff,

Where as, a Bio-Week will focus on a series of events and workshops, as listed below, to provide the opportunity for Biological Sciences students a chance to unite with pre-health organizations and clubs along with completing our goals,

Where as, the current Biological Science Representatives working with the Bio. Sci. Student Affairs Office and ASUCI Academic Engagement Office have agreed to host Bio-Week during Week 8 this quarter,

Where as, booking tables and chairs on ring road, as well as providing food and prizes as an incentive for students and faculty to attend the events,

Where as, such an event will help publicize ASUCI Legislative Council's presence on campus,

Let it be resolved, that $657 dollars will be taken out of Council Unallocated Account #
6501-7115 towards the costs of Bio-week as listed in BOLD in the budget below,


Let it also be resolved, that an remaining funds be returned to the Council Unallocated Account,

Let it further be resolved, that Legislative Council supports this week long event.
