Item Number: 116 Legislation Number (B: Bill, R: Resolution): B47-28
Author:   Patrick Manh Le   Second:  Nicole Hisatomi
Synopsis: Office of the Executive Vice-President End of the Year Reallocation
Date of Presentation: May 22, 2012

Whereas, the Office of the Executive President has hired one extra Campaign Manager this upcoming year to focus on voter registration efforts,

Whereas, the Campaign Manager for Voter Registration has worked diligently throughout the year, registering over 1,400 students to vote and creating a Memorandum of Understanding with Student Housing, therefore setting the stage for successful voter registration drives in the future,

Whereas, Campaign Managers are compensated a total of $75 a month for eight months, totalling a stipend of $600 for the year,

Whereas, none of the Campaign Managers, as well as the Campaign Organizing Director, have been compensated this year for unknown reasons,

Whereas, the Office of the Executive Vice-President has been very careful with spending in the 2011-2012 year, resulting in large left-overs in multiple accounts, such as the Travel Account, in which only $4,087 was spent (32% of the budget)

Whereas, because of Fall Elections, the Office of the Executive Vice-President has lost staff members, resulting in extra stipend money,

Whereas, the Office of the Executive Vice-President needs to reallocate money to ensure all Programming Costs are covered for the ongoing Middle-Class Scholarship Plan campaign

Let it be resolved, that $375 be transferred from the LobbyCore Curriculum Coordinator Stipend account (Account #6012-7170) over to the Campaign Manager Stipend account (Account #6012-7180)

Let it further be resolved, that $225 be transferred from the Travel (Account #6409-7160) to the Campaign Manager Stipend account (Account #6012-7180) to complete the compensation for the Campaign Manager for Voter Registration for the eight month of work performed,

Let it further be resolved that an additional $500 be transferred from the Travel account (Account #6409-7160) to the Programming Costs account (Account #6423-7180) to ensure that all programming costs for the Middle Class Scholarship Plan Campaign are covered,

Let it finally be resolved that the Campaign Manager and the Campaign Organizing Director be finally compensated for the work they have expertly performed this year.
