REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Funds for MUSA Internship Event

Whereas it is our duty as Legislative Council Representatives to be a liaison between students and faculty, staff, and the dean,

Whereas, Merage Undergraduate Student Association (MUSA), is the student government for the School of Business, which hosts events that builds community within not only the business school, but the entire campus,

Whereas MUSA's "Life as an Intern" event will be open to the public and will allow the audience to learn more about the atmosphere of being an intern and how to get an internship,

Whereas, food and drinks will be purchased and provided at the Life as an Intern event to create a casual and inviting atmosphere,

Whereas this event will have classroom announcements, facebook events, e-mails, and will be known to all students interested in having an internship,

Whereas the event will be held on May 31st from 7-8:30pm at Cresent Bay CD,

Let it be resolved that the receipts will be presented to finance committee,

Let it furthur be resolved that $150 be taken out of Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120 towards the costs of food and drinks,

Let it furthur be resolved that this cost is an estimate and any money not used will be returned to Council Unallocated Account #6501-7120.
