All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| Whereas, ASUCI Legislation Council unanimously passed R48-58, Divestment from Fossil Fuels, Whereas, University of California Students Association (UCSA) has taken up Divestment from Fossil Fuels as one of their yearly campaigns, Whereas, ASUCI should follow through with its statements, Let it be resolved that ASUCI divest from fossil fuels and no longer invest in fossil fuels, Let it be further resolved that ASUCI create a By-Law amendment under Article XVIII GUIDELINES FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF ASUCI FUNDS as Section G stating the following: No ASUCI money (e.g. ASUCI Reserve accounts) may be invested in fossil fuels. Let it be finally resolved that this process is to be planned by the Executive Director and Acting Executive Director with their team of career staff before the 2014 Spring elections and implemented with the approval of the 2014-2015 ASUCI Annual Budget. |
