REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Funding for LNP WCO

Whereas Live Nude People With Clothes On, LNP WCO, is a club which performs bi-weekly improv shows for the student body

 

Whereas LNP WCO holds open and welcoming auditions for anyone who is interested in becoming part of the club

 

Whereas LNP WCO has built relationships between the Clair Trevor School of The Arts and other schools in UCI, an example being one of the long standing members being part of the engineering school.

 

Whereas LNP WCO is planning to provide weekly improve workshops, which will be open to the public

 

Whereas LNP WCO will ask guest instructors to come train them so that they can be better at their craft, and help teach others better

 

Whereas LNP WCO brings comedy, joy, involvement opportunities, a positive environment, and has a great appeal to the University of California Irvine’s student body and community

 

Let it be resolved that $500.00 from the Student Program Funding Board account number 7600-7600 be granted to the LNP WCO in order to cover T-shirt printing, costumes, posters, flyers, and props

 

Let it be resolved that these funds will pay for a $35.00 classroom fee that is charged for every show that is put on

 

Let it be resolved that these funds will pay for the $50.00 dollar fee that is charged for hiring a duty officer and insuring the safety of the people who attend the show

 

Let it be resolved that these funds will cover training expenses

 

Let it further be resolved, that legislative council supports this club, therefor supporting the Clair Trevor School of the Arts.
