Whereas, it is executives' responsibility to conduct mid-year allocation during each fiscal year and executive term, 

Whereas, the Office of Academic Affairs had a tremendous year full of successful events,such as "A Night with the Stars," "Social Ecology Week," "ICS Video Game Night," "Obamacare Debate," "Discover Big Bang Theory," "Cooking Classes," "Visions Leadership Winter & Spring classes," "Reinvent UCI," "Kal Penn Speaker Event," and many more,

Whereas, the budget originally allocated to the Office of Academic Affairs was insufficient, as the Vice President of Academic Affairs did not foresee such programming and pleathora of events, 

Whereas, the Speakers & Debate commission under the Office of Academic Affairs was poorly funded due to historical untilization of the speaker budget,

Whereas, the Speakers & Debate commission still have plans for spring quarter, including "Miss Wheelchair America Speaker Event" in collaboration with Women Empowerment Initiative and Disabilities Services Center, "Paranormal Activity Guy," "Michael Sherman Talk," 

Whereas, the budget in the Speakers & Debate account is far from sufficient to carry out these great programs,

Whereas, the Student Advocate General position has been vacant for the entire academic year and neither Executive Cabinet nor Judicial Board has appointed anyone to fill the position,

Let it be resolved, that the Student Advocate General account 7800 (6012, 6014,6307, and 6423) totaling $1474 to be reallocated to the Speakers & Debate program cost account 6423-7270 to ensure sufficient funding for programing for Spring quarter,

Let it further be resolved, that the Legislative Council fully supports programing hosted by the Office of Acadmeic Affairs.
