Whereas the Students of Color Conference is an annual conference held by the University of California Student Association, and 

 

Whereas the ASUCI Office of the Executive Vice President takes students to the Students of Color Conference every year to educate and empower students, and

 

Whereas this year the Students of Color Conference was held at UC Merced, and

 

Whereas the Office of the Executive Vice President allocated $10,000 for the Students of Color Conference, and

 

Whereas the Office of the Executive Vice President recieved $4,300 in generous sponsorships from the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, and

 

Whereas the Office of the Executive Vice President spent $4,800 on registration, $4,790 on 22 hotel rooms for two nights, $5,490 on two buses, $33.25 on posters, and $16 on miscellanous costs, for a total of $15,129.25, and 

 

Whereas, with our sponsorship, the overall cost of the conference was $10,829.25, and

 

Whereas, we spent $829.25 more than allocated, and

 

Whereas, we have a robust budget for the National Legislative Grassroots Conference, and

 

Let it be resolved that we transfer $829.25 from 6441-7160 (External Affairs - USSA Lobby Conference) to 6437-7160 (External Affairs - Students of Color Conference) to pay for our conference over-spending.
