REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the Executive Vice President no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The Executive Vice President reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Council session if the Executive Vice President feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: ASUCI Inside Refurbishment, the Sequel

 Whereas ASUCI strives to treat its staff members, from its interns to its governing officers, with respect and consideration; and

 

Whereas there is an expressed need to purchase supplies that would assist ASUCI in outreaching and publicity to UCI students; and

 

Whereas Article XVIII “Guidelines for the Expenditure of ASUCI Funds” Subsection D, Item 1 of the ASUCI By-Laws allows for the use and expenditure of funds from the ASUCI Reserves Account in the “Purchase of equipment or technology that provides a long-term benefit to the organization,” and/or “Unanticipated one-time expenses that are necessary and vital to the organization;” and

 

Let it be resolved that ASUCI’s Legislative Council authorize a monetary withdrawal from the ASUCI Reserves account, in strict accordance with the expenditures entailed below:

 

1.     10x10 Canopy (3)                                                                            $2115.00

2.     Tent Bag (3)                                                                                      $256.44

3.     Table Cloth (6)                      $1330.74


Total with tax and shipping:                                                                   $3933.16

 

Let it further be resolved that the total withdrawal not exceed $4,400 , including the price of shipping and tax, and possible assembly.
