REQUEST FOR ACTION BY THE ASUCI SENATE 
 
All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full.

Synopsis: Mental Health Awareness Week Supplies Reimbursement

Whereas ASUCI Mental Health Commission strives to ensure that mental health services on campus continue to expand for both students and staff; and

Whereas there is an expressed need to purchase supplies that would assist in Mental Health Awareness Week in providing outreaching and publicity to UCI students; and

Whereas these supplies serve to bring awareness to misconceptions about mental illness and build rapport with members of the UCI community through outreach and education; and

Whereas money from ASUCI Senate unallocated is exclusively in place for Senate use (such as school events and programs); and

Let it be resolved that recipient for the money is the Mental Health Commissioner for ASUCI, Ashley Jimenez; and with that, any leftover money will be appropriately returned to the account; and

Therefore, let it be resolved that ASUCI’s Senate authorize a monetary withdrawal from the ASUCI Senate Unallocated in strict accordance with the expenditures entailed below:

Essential Oils: $12.15

Spray Bottles: $18.39

Light Decorations and Lanterns: $62.94
