All requests may be typed and submitted to the President of the Senate no later 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to be included in the agenda for the following Tuesday. The President of the Senate reserves the right to delay the Request for Action to a later Senate session if the President of the Senate feels the agenda for the next schedule meeting is full. |

| WHEREAS, May 17 is the 10th edition of Donald Bren School of Computer Sciences’ celebration of Information and Computer Science (ICS) Day.
WHEREAS, ICS Day is the largest event of the year at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science and draws hundreds of ICS students and students of different majors for a day full of festivities, career development, and the opportunity to learn about ICS clubs.
WHEREAS, ICS Day is hosted by ICS Student Council, IEEE, MAISS, TAG@UCI, HACK, WICS, Cyber@UCI, ACM, CUCS, UDSA, Linux User Group, and VGDC.
WHEREAS, ASUCI officially supports the holding of ICS Day.
WHEREAS, ICS Student Council will advertise that ASUCI is the main sponsor of the event.
WHEREAS, one of ICS Day’s sponsor, Panasonic, cancelled their $600 sponsorship towards ICS Day.
WHEREAS, the costs for the event includes: T-Shirts for Volunteers (100)……………………... $500 Costco Pizza for the public ………………….…… $400 Wristbands …………………………………………. $20 Microphone Stands for Student Performers (4) .. $15
WHEREAS, 600-800 UCI undergraduates of different majors are expected to attend ICS Day.
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED, that $800.00 will be allocated to ICS Student Council from the Senate Unallocated Account #6501-7805 to fund the ICS Day.
THEREFORE LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED, the ASUCI ICS Senator, Bryant Gunaman, will fill the check request.
